Karen Atkinson
I have been working at Tendacare for the last 19 years. I am passionate about supporting individuals to maintain their independence and dignity. As part of my role I do some visits, am an assessor for the Diploma and Care Certificate, co-ordinate, supervise and induct. I also plan for and carry out training.
Before coming to Tendacare I worked at Long Grove Hospital in Epsom, have been a dinner lady, a special needs assistant and home help, to name a few! I also have personal experience supporting my daughter, who has learning disabilities, and is currently happy in supported living being as independent as possible.
Having always lived in Ashtead I love the area, am married with three grown up children, two grandchildren and another on the way. I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy walking, swimming, reading and eating!
